NetMiner Data Model is designed to accommodate almost all the needs of Network Data analysis.

Basic data unit of NetMiner for analysis is not a data but a DataSet composed of various data items. Integrated use of various data items in a DataSet makes the analysis easy and powerful.    

Main NodeSet and Sub NodeSet: The relations among the nodes in Main NodeSet comprise the 1-mode Network Data. The relations between the nodes in Main NodeSet and the nodes in Sub NodeSet comprise the 2-mode Network Data. Various, elegant definitions of 2-mode Network data are accomplished by introducing the concept of Sub NodeSet.

Node Attribute and Link Attribute: Main Nodeset and Sub Nodeset can be described by given Attribute Data. And each link of network data can also be described by given Link Attribute Data.

Main Nodeset Consistency: All the data items in a DataSet is integrated by common Main Nodeset.
